WD: Easy Courier BD is a Shopify app developed to help Bangladeshi merchants seamlessly assign orders to multiple couriers directly from their Shopify store. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect data when merchants use our App.

We are committed to minimal data collection. Specifically:

Courier-specific configuration settings (API keys and secrets), which are encrypted in our database.

We do not store full order details or payment information.

We store the following information: The Shopify order ID, the selected courier's name and tracking/reference info, and the customer name, phone number, and shipping address. Customer data (name, phone, shipping address) is stored for the purpose of facilitating courier assignments and for any later use that may be required for order processing or support.

We use the limited data we collect for the purpose of:

Assigning orders to the selected courier

Facilitating booking requests through the courier's system

Storing courier preferences for each merchant

Retaining customer name, phone, and shipping address for order processing, support, or any legitimate business need related to courier assignments

Our app integrates with various courier services using webhooks provided by the couriers. Please note:

These webhooks are external services and beyond our control.

WD: Easy Courier BD is not responsible for failed, delayed, or missing webhook responses from courier companies.

This may impact tracking updates and overall delivery status visibility within the App.

All courier credentials (API key, secret) are stored securely using encryption.

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.

When you uninstall the App, we permanently delete all data associated with your store, including order assignments, courier settings, and any stored customer data (name, phone, shipping address).

We retain no backup copies after uninstallation.

Retention may be longer if required by law or to establish/defend legal claims.

As a merchant, you are responsible for:

Keeping your courier credentials secure

Understanding how the courier's webhook and tracking systems work

Reviewing the terms and privacy policies of the courier services you integrate

Informing your customers about the sharing and storage of their name, phone, and shipping address for courier assignment purposes, as required by applicable law

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance.
